Dallas Cup To Premier adidas Europass Match Ball

The official match balls have arrived at the Dallas Cup offices. This year we are using the newly designed adidas Europass. This is the ball that the German-based apparel and equipment giant unveiled in December, specially created for the 2008 European Championships (this June, co-hosted by Austria and Switzerland).

But here’s the neat part for the Dallas Cup: this will be adidas Europass ball’s debut in international competition. Even better, this version of the ball has been stamped with the Dallas Cup logo.

Our friends at adidas told us the ball has been used in a couple of youth tournaments in the United States. But Dr Pepper Dallas Cup XXIX, they say, will definitely mark the ball’s debut in international play.

Dr Pepper Dallas Cup XXIX-Does the Can! Can! Can!

Dr Pepper branded Dr Pepper Dallas Cup XXIX with the roll-out of over 600,000 cans with the touranment logo and special ticket promotion. This is the first time in Dallas Cup's 29 years, that this has happened- thank you Dr Pepper!!! Cans are available throughout the metroplex at convenience stores and retail grocery outlets. Fans may also see our can flying the friendly skies, on American Airlines planes around the United States.

Tournament tickets are on sale NOW- mention that you saw the can on this blog or on the Dallas Cup website (www.dallascup.com) and get $5 Off Adult All-Tournament Pass or $2 Off any Opening Day ticket or Stadium Day ticket!

Fans will also receive discounted tickets when they bring a Dr Pepper can to Pizza Hut Park during the week of the tournament (March 16-23, 2008)!

Dr Pepper Dallas Cup XXIX Countdown Has Begun!!!

11 WEEKS until 180 teams, 250 referees and 1,000 volunteers will descend upon Addison, Dallas, Plano and Frisco to compete in one of the premiere youth soccer tournaments in the world!!!

Currently there are 17 countries being represented by teams this year!

The final touches are being put on the age groups, U13-U19, with teams being notified within the next week on their acceptance, then it is down to travel arrangements, lots of practice & team preparation, with kick-off, March16! Game on!!!

Dallas Cup Staff Enjoy A Holiday Dinner Together

On December 19th, the Dallas Cup staff celebrated the holiday season at Maggiano's. In attendance, but not in any specific order, Gordon Jago & wife, June; Mary Link & husband, Ken; Bucki Rogers; Justin Moore; Randy Jones & wife, Donna; Jolyne Doyle & husband, David; and Sue Slater & husband, Mark. The conversation flowed, the food was filling and a good time was had by all!

The tickets for Dr Pepper Dallas Cup XXIX have been designed, the ink is barely dry and they were delivered before the offices closed down for the holidays. Now in order to get them up for sale they must be counted, logged in and then distributed to The Soccer Corner! Dallas Cup Kicks Off Its' Dallas Is Diversity Soccer Camps!

Starting, Tuesday-June 19, Dallas Cup kicks off its 2007 Dallas Is Diversity Soccer Camps. This year we have a six soccer camps up three from the last few years. Once again we will be working with the Salvation Army Summer Camp Kids and Neighborhood Council Summer Camp Kids, but we are excited add a camp for the Special Olympic kids from Lewisville, Plano and Frisco and Frito Lay Summer Camp employees kids- both of which to be held at Frito Lay on soccer fields located at the Plano campus. Another organization new to the line-up this year, is West Dallas, their camps will be held down in the West Dallas neighborhood off Inwood Rd. Along with the tradional soccer camps we hold, there will be two art camps conduct by a retired DISD art teacher with a "make and take" art project with flower pots.

Dallas Cup wishes to thank, Texans Credit Union and Frito Lay for their sponsorship of these programs and for all their volunteers, who help make it possible for these children to have an exciting break in their summer! Each child receives a Dallas Is Diversity t-shirt and an adidas soccer ball to take home with them after the camps.
