You bet. Look at Liverpool’s roster: It’s stocked with first-team reserves, which means the Reds are serious about their bid for the Lamar Hunt Super Cup (for the Super Group winner).
Here’s how these foreign glamour teams are put together for Dallas Cup. They take some players from the first-team reserves (those still young enough to be eligible) and some “academy” players. The academy players are still in the team’s youth developmental program. They still have some work to do in order to earn a professional contract.
Well, Liverpool’s roster is almost exclusively reserve team fellows. Among them:
Forward Craig Lindfield, who has already appeared for England’s Under-19 national team. He’ll be fun to watch.
Defender Stephen Darby, whom Liverpool took as a backup into a Champions League match earlier this year.
Defender Emiliano Insua, who has already appeared for Argentina’s Under-20s.
You can look up more info on any of those players at Liverpool’s web site. They (and others here in Dallas) are listed among the team’s First Team Squad Profiles.
Liverpool plays tonight at the stadium at 7 p.m.

LFC Reserves trashed FK Slavija 7-1. I wonder who's the scorer for LFC. Any updates here?
Let us know the names of the scorers please. Dallas Home page sux: How do you want to make something "for the love of soccer", if you do not publish anything about your soccer tournament? Write something about Krisztian Nemeth's movements please. Bye, R. Fowler

The Liverpool squad going to Dallas is: Dean Bouzanis, Peter Gulacsi, Stephen Darby, Emiliano Insua, Mikel San Jose, Daniel Ayala, Ronald Huth, Martin Kelly, Steven Irwin, Gary MacKay Steven, Jay Spearing, Ryan Flynn, Ray Putterill, Ryan Crowther, Gerardo Bruna, Craig Lindfield, Krisztian Nemeth, Andras Simon, Daniel Pacheco.
I wonder if Nemeth didn't travel in Dallas, he is simply our best striker. Maybe he is with the first team?
Bye, R. Fowler

Any news about missing of our supertstriker Nemeth?
The 10-day trip hasn't gone entirely to plan so far, with Hungarian trio Krisztian Nemeth, Peter Gulacsi and Andras Simon having to stay behind due to paperwork issues.
Ablett is hoping this will be sorted on Tuesday and they'll be available for the third group game against Japanese team Ryutsu Keizai on Wednesday night.
